For sale here is a very scarce Sweetgrass "Octi" bamboo rod made by Glenn Brackett. Glenn made very few of these rods, constructed using eight strips of bamboo rather than the typical six. The rods were made from start to finish by Glenn. Hollow fluted. This one is a 7'9" three piece rod with two tips for a five weight line. Mint unused condition with original bag and tube! Plastic wrap still on the grip. Full-flexing action (you can even feel it into the grip). Very powerful with amazing pinpoint accuracy! The finished rod weighs 4 5/8 oz. These rods were originally sold for $3,900. Surely a must-have rod for Glenn Brackett devotees!In 2013, Michael Mauri won the Hardy Cup with an eight-sided Sweetgrass rod. See story here.
