Wooden Hat Block Set 12 - Trilby and Fedora Hat Brim Block and Oval Crown Block

This is a great hat block set that you can use to create fedora and trilby style hats or caps. The oval crown block can be used with other brim block to create a variety of hats (cloche, bowlers, sun hat etc.). This brim block is called a flip brim as you block the material (felt, straw etc.) over the brim block, down the sides and then flip up the sides to get a turned-up brim. This is an oval brim block, about 26cm (10.2") long, 6cm (2.4") wide in the front. After blocking you can cut and shape the material to get different width and style of brim. You can also use this design to make lovely caps (see last picture).
