Sharpe Scottie Trout Fly Rod, "The Scottie".A fine J.S. Sharpe's of Aberdeen 9'6", 2 piece impregnated split cane trout fly rod, The Scottie, with spare tip. The split bamboo rod is with suction joint, burgundy whipped snake rings, alloy screw reel fitting and the No. 2.10.205 is stamped on the alloy butt. The inscription spiralling around the rod with decal is 'The Scottie', 9 ½ # 6 - 7, "Scottie" with an image of a Scottie dog and the word impregnated'. The fly rod comes with the original Sharpe's canvas case.Sharpe's of Aberdeen produced a great many cane rods that were impregnated with a special resin, this process meant that the rods were virtually rot proof.
