Description

Robo Worm is a hi-tech robot that mimics the locomotion of caterpillars. The movements of the ring-shaped muscles are simulated by controlled magnetisation of the metal rings on the inside of the silicon tube. This enables locomotion on extremely uneven surfaces and in places that are difficult to access, such as in ducts or disaster zones. On both ends of the worm there are cameras and other sensors including a microphone. A further advantage of this unusual robot is that does not need to turn around to move backwards. A fascinating product with excellent functionality and a futuristic design.
