Price drop! I have available for sale a lightly fished J Downes bamboo fly rod. It is a 7'6 5wt, 2 pieces with an extra tip. The green wraps tipped in black are stunning. The signature wrap has just a bit of the orange jasper and really pops. the cane is a medium tone and the varnish work is amazing. its the nicest varnish job on any of my rods. The agate stripping guide is also very classy. the ferrules fit perfectly and have a lovely pop. The fit and finish on this rod in general is the best Ive seen in person. it comes with a really nice canvas rod sock and tube sock!. There is some wear at the reel seat and grip from normal use. The slip ring that holds your reel has lost some of its black finish, which is easy to restore or allow to take on a new natural patina. This is the 7613 taper and is a medium-fast taper. Its very strong for a bamboo rod, capable of landing larger fish and performing in the wind. i have no issues with dry droppers, indicators, or small streamers with this rod. 950 or best offer, or trades for other bamboo rods or bamboo rod building tools. These sell brand new for $1695. if you need the VR trutta to match, I can sell that too, reluctantly. The reason I am selling is because a friend built me a 3 piece 5wt i can travel easier with. I tend to fish that one now so this guy is hanging in its bag wanting to go fishing.
