The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed a slew of players to Minor League contracts this month, including former Miami Marlins and New York Mets pitcher Jordan Yamamoto. The right-hander was originally selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 12th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He last was in the Majors with the Mets in 2021, and over parts of three MLB seasons, owns a 5-7 record with a 6.05 ERA, 5.35 FIP and 1.41 WHIP across 21 games (19 starts). Yamamoto spent the 2022 season in the Mets’ Minor League system. He pitched at High-A, Double-A and Triple-A, going a combined 3-2 with a 6.00 ERA in 24 games (six starts). Yamamoto expressed his excitement with joining the Dodgers and hopes to turn his career around: The Dodgers have an excellent reputation with helping players return to form, and it’s part of the reason why Shelby Miller and Noah Syndergaard signed with the organization this offseason. Miller recently revealed he is working with Dodgers pitching coaches Mark Prior and Connor McGuiness to hone his craft
