March kicks off white bass fishing season in the Canyon Lake area. Boat Ramp #11 is a good place to find these popular sportsfish.

Comal County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and 4-H Agent Jason Mangold teaches the best practices for healthy pond management.

Bulverde class from noon to 1 p.m. April 10 at Mammen Family Public Library.

Canyon Lake class from 2-3 p.m. at Tye Preston Memorial Libary.

Nearly 50 vendors will sell fresh produce, prepared foods, home-baked breads and pastries, eggs and more.

Shrimpfest organizer Lion Tom Meyer invites everyone to enjoy a great meal while helping the Canyon Lake Noon Lions raise funds for humanitarian service projects and the local community.

Lions will serve very generous portions of fresh shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico along with creamy baked potato salad, cole slaw and all the fixings. Homemade desserts are $2 each.

Available for drive-thru or dine-in at the CRRC Rec Center.

Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased at the door. Cash, credit cards and checks accepted.
