Twister is a Huss "Top Spin" ride located in the Boardwalk section of Six Flags Great Adventure. It opened on April 2, 1999 as part of the 25 rides and attractions added for the "War on Lines" promotion for Great Adventure's 25th anniversary. It replaced the Joust-A-Bout, which had been plagued with operational issues and had been in operation from 1982 to 1998.
