Saltys Charktail needlefish lure kit is the perfect size lure for light tackle fishing! With it's forked Charktail which spins and flops side to side, it projects flash and lots of action to drive predatory fish wild!
1.5 Oz Charktail Needlefish Wood Lure Kits 6.25 long and 1.5 Oz size, stainless steel thru-wired this is a super needlefish! 3/8 molded holographic eyes and all kits are sanded out to 150 grit and require minimal fine sanding. Highly polished nickel plated marine brass tail will spin and flop causing it to seductively flash and attract fish!All components are included except for split rings and hooks which we recommend VMC 1/0 treble hooks for the belly hooks.We use only USA made components in our kits!Very simple retrieve on this lure, walk it up top, or let it sink and fish the bottom. This lure has a moderate rate sink.This needlefish is a good intermediate kit, it requires gluing in belly weight and redrilling with a 5/32 drill bit after weight is installed-we recommend a small battery drill or a hand drill to do this cautiously, then minor sanding, sealing, and painting/finishing.Can be painted with Salty's Lure Paint, Createx Air brush paints, or with acrylic paints and a small brush from AC Moore, let them dry thoroughly and coat with a few coats of clear spray paint or brush with epoxy etc in thin coats for more durability.Lures need to be finish sealed to prevent water intrusion.
